Though there has been a lot of hype about machine learning algorithms (called “artificial intelligence”) as a technology, I am more concerned about their misuse. They do not yet have the agency to seek data of their own volition, and how they interpret it is solely dependent on their programming and training.
Because of their misuse, there is no assumption of good faith in their use. So those who use them in good faith should warn viewers and readers of their use. This will help to rein in the hype by showing how MLA can be used in good faith.
So feel free to list sites that contain MLA/AI generated and assisted works, so long as they are honest about it, and are of a reasonable quality. If it gets out of hand, we will cross that bridge when we get to it.
